Spanning 12acres., the state-of-the-art corporate campus will have “thousands” of employees managing back-end operations of Amazon’s various global businesses. The design for Amazon corporate campus creates an integrated and sustainable vision of merging landscape and architecture to create a new form of symbiotic living and co-working. The building’s design will directly respond to the site’s climate, rich cultural heritage, and the client’s goal of further elevating itself as a global leader in business consulting, IT, software engineering, and outsourcing services.

CONCEPT DIAGRAMS

Bring Nature Into Workplace - the fact that as human beings, we have an instinctive bond with nature and our natural surroundings. In turn, Biophilic Design takes this bond and works to apply it to spaces where we live, shop, relax and work. The only aim is to create a workplace that truly works – somewhere that staff enjoys working.
The Idea behind: The plans adopt a strategy of roofed and open-air working zones. The aim was to deliver a space that allows its occupants to work and enjoy in the bosom of nature, sensing the seasons, entertaining their colleagues and friends, and juicing the joys of work and creativity with art, sculpture, and objects, contributing to the serenity of the place. Because the evidence of diverse benefits is so strong, contact with nature in the workplace has become a central element in the design of healthy office spaces. Every design decision supports this blurring of the built environment and nature.
Reconnecting with Nature: Poorly conceived design divides us into urban areas from our wilds and has contributed to seeing nature as something isolated from us. Yet reinvigorating our bond with nature is a challenging architecture and urban design are well placed to address. We can begin to design places grounded in their own unique environment.
